A particular focus was put on how digitalization is implemented in drinking water supply systems. Online monitoring approaches with different methods were presented and discussed with a very interested audience with many questions.
Afterwards, there was sufficient time to discuss drinking water related questions in general and talk about future concerns related to climate change. Events like this will further raise the awareness of the value of drinking water and the topic finds its way into the classrooms to teach the next generation.
The Teacher’s Science club (Teachers Science Club – SFZ Hamburg) is a cooperation of Schülerforschungszentrum Hamburg and the Körber-Stiftung and offers local school teachers to get insights into current research and use this as input for their school curriculae.
