On 13th September Fabio Marelli (Director of Aqueduct and Sewerage of MMspa), Sara Rizzo (Engineer for the environment and the territory MM) and Luca Alberti (Professor at the Politecnico di Milano ) were invited to Geofluid 2023 in Piacenza. They had the opportunity to participate in the convention with a speech entitled “Sustainable and resilient management of underground water resources” and talked about their experience in supporting numerical modeling to the realization of the Water Safety Plan (PSA) of the city of Milano. In this presentation, they set their focus on MM’s expected activities in the SAFECREW project.
Geofluid is the international trade fair for the drilling & foundations sector, attracting more than ten thousand professionals. Exhibitors come from more than 60 foreign countries. This year, the theme of water and new energies has beem the dominant feature of the Geofluid 2023. Geothermal energy, underground construction sites 4.0, new trenchless technologies, dewatering and groundwater, energy transition, the sustainable exploitation of sources and geoengineering, new materials for transporting fluids, digitisation of processes and machinery for the construction of new infrastructures linked to utilities with particular reference to the water crisis were the themes that underpinned the exhibition part of Geofluid 2023.
