The 32nd Mülheim Water Technology Seminar 2025 (MWTS 2025) on 06 November 2025 provided an excellent platform to discuss current challenges and innovative solutions in drinking water treatment.
Under the motto ‘Drinking water treatment in the light of increasing requirements’, the event addressed current challenges such as new limits for contaminants (e.g. PFAS, bisphenol A) and changes in raw water quality, as well as innovative solutions such as resource-saving processes and the use of natural-based materials.
The SafeCREW presentation by Jon Wullenweber (DVGW-TUHH) shared the latest insights into the advanced characterisation of natural organic matter and their online monitoring to sustainably improve drinking water quality. The seminar enabled valuable exchange among experts from research, industry, and practice to jointly develop future-proof concepts for drinking water treatment.
