On 9 May 2025, Andreu Fargas (Consorci d’Aigües de Tarragona – CAT) and Irene Jubany (eurecat – EUT) participated in a conference about the digitalization of the water sector in Manresa. The conference “Innovation in the digitalisation of the water cycle: challenges and lessons learned” was organised by Aigües de Manresa and the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge in the course of their PERTE* project “Sustainability in the water sector”. The conference centred around challenges and lessons learned regarding the digitalisation of the water cycle. It gathered 250 experts from all over Spain.
Andreu Fargas presented the digitalisation porject of Consorci d’Aigües de Tarragona which includes SafeCREW activities. Irene Jubany, eurecat was in a round table about oportunities for the sector after digitalization projects and explained some of the SafeCREW results.

These projects are focused on strategic areas that can have a major impact on economic recovery, job creation and the transformation of key sectors. PERTE for the digitalization of the water cycle aims at improving the urban water cycle.
