Invitation to 4th International School on Water Reuse, Turin (Italy), 15–17 September 2025

We would like to share with you the 4th International School on Water Reuse (ISWR), taking place in Turin (Italy) from 15 to 17 September 2025, organised by the University of Turin, with the support of the Joint Research Centre.

Tailored for PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and professionals across sectors like water utilities, agriculture, and industry, the school offers a multidisciplinary and hands-on exploration of water reuse from both technical and policy perspectives.

As part of the programme, the JRC will contribute with a lecture on water reuse and risk management and will co-host a role-play session on risk management together with the University of Oxford, bringing the logic of Risk Management Plans to life in an engaging and interactive way. In addition to core lectures from various academic experts, the school will feature real-world case studies presented by CEDEX, ESAMUR, APA Portugal, Consorzio Aretusa, Canal de Isabel II and others, plus insights from the JRC EU Policy Lab’s Water Reuse Future Exploratory Project. The school will end with an on-site visit to an industrial water reuse plant run by SMAT Torino.
